User has to take care of daily needs and wants, which are influenced personality and surroundings. Sims 3 is a life simulation game, in which the person controls the lives of virtual people called. Player's person may be a child, an adult, or elderly. User can also socialize with other Sims in the neighborhood. Player can make work on a career, build or buy a house, build relationships with other characters, have pets. User must take care of needs of the person, such as hunger, hygiene, energy.
